Good news, friends. There’s a massive Patagonia sale happening now, and you're going to want to start shopping the brand immediately. After all, not only has Patagonia been dedicated to using sustainable and eco-friendly methods since it launched in 1973, but the founder Yvon Chouinard, his wife and two children just donated the company (worth close to $3 billion) to two nonprofit organizations (Patagonia Purpose Trust and the Holdfast Collective) to actively fight climate change, according to the New York Times.
Translation: Whether you're shopping for winter jackets, hiking gear, ski clothes or winter base layers, your purchase will go to a good cause: Helping the planet.
As for this sale (which lasts through February 10), it features an up to 30 percent discount on hundreds of styles, including the cozy recycled polyester Better Sweater (starting at $77) buyers can't stop talking about. One Public reviewer writes, "I absolutely love [the] sweater. It is so warm, and it fits so well. The other brands of fleece can't compete. [It's] truly made so well...you won't be disappointed."
With Valentine's Day coming up, we also have our eye on the men's Better Sweater for the guy in our life. It's made from the same soft recycled polyester fabric, but unlike the women's version, it has a zippered left-chest pocket so he can store small items. It's currently on sale for $78 (from $129), but sizes are selling fast.
We also can't resist the nylon Downdrift parka (on sale for $239 from $399) designed for extreme cold featuring a removable insulated hood and hidden adjustment cords to adjust for maximum warmth. Plus, a little birdie told us the slim-fit recycled polyester men's Terrebonne jogger pants (on sale for $60 from $99) are a great alternative to lululemon's beloved ABC pants.
Basically, we're buying as many Patagonia pieces as we can, and we suggest you do the same before it's too late. Oh, and did we mention Public Lands has a 90-day return policy for most items?
